Butsumaru
仏丸
‘Butsumaru’ the crest of Honmon Butsuryu Shu (HBS) was created my Nissen Shonin, the founder of HBS. Butsumaru is made up of the two Chinese characters ‘Butsu’ and ‘Ryu’. ‘Butsu’ of Butsuryu means ‘the Buddha’ and ‘Ryu’ of Butsuryu means ‘foundation’. So, Butsumaru means ‘Founded by the Buddha’.
